Tour 2 | Three in one; Amsterdam city tour, Van Gogh Museum and Zaanse Schans Windmills Tour

This tour consists of a 2-hour walking tour, a 1.5-hour guided visit to Van Gogh Museum, and a 2-hour excursion to Zaanse Schans. During the walking tour, you will discover the city’s favorite places in the city center, around Dam Square. You can create your own itinary by agreed with the guide. Afterwards we will visit Van Gogh Museum to see some of the most famous paintings of the artist. You will enter the museum without waiting at the ticket lines. After a rest and a lunch break for about 45 minutes, we will go to Zaanse Schans located 20 km away from Amsterdam. In this typical Dutch village we will visit the country’s original and iconic windmills. Later we will visit a traditional cheese factory and a workshop producing traditional wooden shoes.

This half-day tour consists of two parts. The first part consists of a walking tour where you will discover the old streets, canals, bridges and the most beautiful and interesting corners of the city, and the other half consists of a visit to the museum. We can arrive Van Gogh Museum from the city center by taxi or tram. This is more economical than renting a private car. You can also visit the Rijksmuseum, where you can see the masterpieces of Rembrandt and other Dutch painters, instead of the Van Gogh Museum.

The Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum (Rijsk Museum) are the two most important art museums in the Netherlands. On this tour we will visit three beautiful Dutch Villages. We will drive 65 km in total, including the round trip driving and the distance between the villages. Two of the villages, Edam and Volendam, are two villages close to each other. Especially the villages of Marken and Volendam are among the most beautiful villages of the Netherlands with their traditional and garden houses between the canals. You can choose how long you want to stay in each village. For example, you can stroll along the beautiful water canals and streets of Marken, have a coffee break in Volendam and taste the world-famous Edam cheese, have your lunch by the river.
