DAY 1 – Berlin city tour and Pergamon Museum (6 hours)
This tour can be done by private vehicle (alternatively by walking and public transport or taxi) and consists of a panoramic sightseeing tour, walking, photo breaks and a museum visit. Some of the important places you will see during the city tour are; in West Berlin; Kurfürstendamm, Gedachtniss Church, Tiergarten, Reichstag (from outside), Checkpoint Charlie, Bradenburg Gate, Postdamer Platz, Gemaldegalerie, Kreuzberg (the Little Turkey), Charlottenburg. and in East Berlin; Unter den Linden, East Side Galerie, Alexanderplatz, Nikolaiviertel… After the first part of the tour, you can have a lunch at a place recommended by your guide to taste the local food. In the second part you will be visited the world wide famous Pergamon Museum located in the Museum Island, will be visited. In this museum, you will see unique ancient pieces belonging to the Anatolian and Mesopotamian geographies; the Altar of Pergamon, the Ishtar Gate of Babylon, the Marketplace Gate of Miletus, the Aleppo Room, and the Epic of Gilgamesh are some of the most important ones. DAY 2 – Potsdam; the city of palaces (6 hours)
A private vehicle is recommended for this tour. Potsdam is the capital of the Brandenburg, a German federal state encircling Berlin. The city is well known with its lakes, natural beauties and glamorous palaces. Therefore it is defintly worth a visit as being such a close city to Berlin. Additionaly Potsdam’s baroque old town is becoming more and more popular with its lush gardens, forests and peaceful life. Some of the places you will see during this tour are; Glienicke Bridge, the famous Bridge of Spies, Cecilianhof Palace, Neuer Garten, the holy Heiliger Lake and Marble Palace, Sanssouci Palace and Terraces, Dutch Quarter, Alexandrowka Russian quarter, King of Prussia II. Frederick’s tomb… You will not want to leave Potsdam (formerly the Forbidden City) with its peaceful streets and its nature offering a visual feast. During the tour, you can also visit the Sanssouci Palace, which is the summer palace of the Kingdom of Prussia. This palace is included in the Unesco World Heritage List. DAY 3 – Boat tour, German Statehouse and Neues Museum (5 hours)
We will start this tour with a boat tour on the River Spree, which runs through the city. You will have the opportunity to discover Berlin from a different perspective on this 1-hour tour accompanied by your private guide. You will then visit the Neues Museum, one of Germany’s popular museums. Here you can see the famous Bust of Nefertiti and other ancient Egyptian artifacts. In the last part of the tour, we will visit the German Parliament, where you will be able to watch a session live. Then you will have another interesting experience by climbing the famous modern glass dome of the parliament building.
